12" Curved Old-Fashioned Hinge (8292-C)

Our 12” Curved Old-Fashioned Hinges have been developed for use with curved-top gate designs (gates that either curve up or bow downward). These hinges allow for a greater range of gate designs that can be used to create a truly beautiful fence project.

This hardware is ideal for use with Wood Gates.

Curved Old Fashioned Heavy Duty Hinge (8292-C) Features:

Unique design allows for a high-degree of gate or door design flexibility.
Intended for wood gates or doors with a curved-top design.
Gives You the Option of Mounting with Curve Down for Bow Down Gates or Mounted with Curve Up for Bow Up Gates
Left Hand Hinge (8292-12L) has the pin on the left side and curves down. It can also be used on the right side with the curve up.
Right Hand Hinge (8292-12R) has the pin on the right side and curves down. It can also be used on the left side with the curve up.
Available in 12" length only.
Curve has 36" o/c radius.
Strap Partially Wraps Pin
Pin is Welded in Place
Sold in Pairs (1 Curved Hinge & 1 Straight Hinge).
Forged steel heavy duty straps with cast iron cups.
Available in both Hot Dipped Galvanized or Black (BPPCG) finishes.
Color matched stainless steel wood screws (2" x #12) included.
Similar design to our Old Fashioned Hinges (#8292) but with a Curved Strap
Also available in an Adjustable Curve Model (#8292-12AC) for greater design flexibility.

Please Note: Hinges require that a Carriage Bolt (preferred) or Lag Bolt be utilized on each hinge as shown Here. These are not included with the Hinge pairs because the length of bolt required will vary with the installation. Requires 3/8" diameter bolts. You will need bolts 1" longer than the overall thickness of your gate or door.

Instructions

8292 Curved Old Fasioned Hinge Template. Make sure to print template at 1:1 scale to ensure a proper fit.

Multiple mounting options give you the flexibility for the hinge to curve down for scalloped applications or curve up for arced applications.
Left hand hinges bow to the left and can be mounted on the left side of a gate/door and curve downward or be flipped onto the right side of a gate/door and curve upward.
Right hand hinges bow to the right and can be mounted on the right side of a gate/door and curve downward or be flipped onto the left side of a gate/door and curve upward.
